Ukrainian Detainee In Crimea Served In Armed Forces But Discharged For Inaptitude
Ukrainian citizen Hennadii Lymeshko, who was detained in the Russia-annexed Crimea on suspicion of preparing subversive activities, previously served in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, but he was discharged in May because of inaptitude.
The spokesperson for the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Vladyslav Selezniov, announced this to Ukrainian News Agency.
"He served in the Ukrainian Armed Forces under contract from November 2016 to May 2017. He was discharged discharge for inaptitude," he said.
According to him, Lymeshko was discharged from the Armed Forces because of systematic misconduct.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Security Service of Ukraine has described as a provocation the detention of Lymeshko by Russia's Federal Security Service on suspicion of preparing subversive activities.
