Poroshenko Dismisses Chairperson Of State Border Service Nazarenko

President Petro Poroshenko has dismissed the chairperson of the State Border Service Viktor Nazarenko.

Ukrainian News Agency learned this from a source in the State Border Service.

"The President granted his application (on resignation)," the source said.

The interlocutor did not specify why Nazarenko wrote a resignation letter.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on July 21, Nazarenko was hospitalized after he became ill during the meeting between Poroshenko and the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko in the Presidential Administration.

Nazarenko was appointed to that post on October 23, 2014.
