Yanukovych Defense Possesses Information About Yanukovych's Planned Murder If He Enters Ukraine

The defense team of former president Viktor Yanukovych states it possesses information that a murder is being planned to kill their client if he enters Ukraine.

Lawyer Vitalii Serdiuk told this to reporters at a court hearing, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Serdiuk said he had witnesses, including Yanukovych's bodyguards, ready to testify about the threats, and thus the lawyer requested to interview the witnesses before the court could proceed.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the defense team of Yanukovych considers impossible to ensure safety of their defendant staying in the territory of Ukraine.
