Donetsk Regional Authorities: Russian JCCC Members Guarantee Security For Liquidation Of Consequences Of Shelling In Avdiivka

The Donetsk regional military-civilian administration says it has received a written guarantee from the Russian side of the Joint Center on Control and Coordination of issues related to the ceasefire regime and the stabilization of the situation on the contact line (JCCC) that there will be no shelling of Avdiivka till 17.00 of Tuesday for repair works in the city.

Pavlo Zhebrivskyi, the head of the Donetsk regional military-civilian administration, announced this on his page in Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"During the morning meeting of the coordination center we received information from the JCCC that there is a written guarantee from the Russian side on ceasefire from 10.00 to 17.00. Repair teams have started working," he wrote.

According to him, arrival of monitors of the Special Monitoring Mission of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe was expected.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) headquarters says that several civilians were wounded after militants had shelled Avdiivka, Donetsk Region from Grad multiple launch rocket systems Tuesday.

The Donetsk regional military-civilian administration declared the state of emergency in Avdiivka and created the emergency response centre.

The Filtration Plant and the Avdiivka Coke Plant were left without power after militants' shelling attacks, on 30 January 2017.
