Official Unemployment Rate Up 0.2 Percentage Point To 1.5% In December

In December, the official unemployment rose by 0.2 percentage point to 1.5%.

The State Statistics Service has said this in a statement, the Ukrainian News Agency reports.

As at January 1, 2017, the State Employment Service registered 390,800 unemployed people.

A total of 337,900 unemployed were registered at the State Employment Service as at December 1.

The number of unemployed, who received state assistance in December was 317,100; the average allowance was UAH 1,997 per person.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in November, the official unemployment rose by 0.1 percentage point to 1.3%.
