US will produce Ukrainian Magura marine drones - WSJ

The US is launching the production of Ukrainian Magura marine drones for the first time. The corresponding memorandum was signed by the American company ReconCraft and the Ukrainian developer Uforce. This is reported by The Wall Street Journal.

The production is planned to be launched at factories in Oregon and South Carolina. According to ReconCraft co-founder Joe Silkowski, the enterprises will be able to produce hundreds or even thousands of unmanned boats per year. Both parties will provide the necessary materials, equipment and specialists for this.

US interest in Ukrainian development has grown against the backdrop of the Pentagon's new plans for large-scale investment in autonomous weapons and more active use of naval unmanned systems.

Reference: Magura is a Ukrainian multi-purpose naval drone 5.5 meters long. It is capable of covering more than 800 kilometers, accelerating to almost 78 km/h and carrying up to 320 kg of payload. It is used for reconnaissance, patrolling and combat operations at sea.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the SSU transferred the Sea Baby naval drone, which took part in several operations against the occupiers, to the museum.
