This was stated by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev during a joint press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Berlin, Ukrinform reports.

Currently, Azerbaijan supplies Germany with about 1.5 billion cubic meters of gas per year under a ten-year contract. Baku has the potential to increase these volumes, but technical limitations and logistics remain key obstacles.

Main conditions and problems of expanding supplies:

According to the Azerbaijani leader, in order to implement large-scale gas supplies to Germany, European banks should reconsider their approaches and resume lending to infrastructure projects. Without new investments, the expansion of the gas transportation network remains impossible.
