MiG-29, Pantsir-S1 system, and "Bussol-S" radar: AFU destroy occupiers' equipment and warehouses in three regions and in russia
The Ukrainian military carried out a series of precision strikes against the russian army’s high-value equipment and logistics. As a result of the successful operation, the Defense Forces shot down a russian MiG-29 fighter jet and a Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile and gun system in the Kursk Oblast.
It was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In addition to the enemy’s aviation and air defense forces, key targets of the occupiers in the south and east of Ukraine came under fire:
- In the Kherson Region, Ukrainian defenders destroyed a russian “Bussol-S” radar station, which the invaders used to detect and track civilian and military maritime targets.
- In the Donetsk and Luhansk Regions, as well as in the Kursk Oblast, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked ammunition depots and supply depots belonging to the occupation forces.
- In the Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia Regions, defense forces struck enemy drone control centers, depriving the russians of the ability to coordinate reconnaissance and drone attacks.
The General Staff notes that the destruction of the “Bussol-S” station will significantly weaken the russian Navy’s coastal guard’s ability to control coastal waters and target Ukrainian vessels.
As a reminder, a satellite image of a russian Tu-95MS strategic bomber has been published online; the Security Service of Ukraine reported its destruction last Friday, July 17.
