Cabinet restores Ministry of Agrarian Policy and creates Ministry of Communities and IDPs - Koretskyi
The Cabinet of Ministers has restored the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food and created the Ministry of Communities, Territories and Internally Displaced Persons.
Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi announced this on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"We are also reorganizing the structure of ministries in accordance with the decisions of the parliament. We are restoring the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, creating a separate Ministry of Communities, Territories and Internally Displaced Persons," he said.
Koretskyi also reported that the government has separated the areas of economy and environment and recovery, as well as infrastructure and transport.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on July 16, the Verkhovna Rada appointed a new Cabinet of Ministers of the new Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi, in particular, Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture Taras Vysotskyi became Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food, which provides for the creation of a separate Ministry of Agricultural Policy.
Also, MPs from the Servant of the People faction Vitalii Bezhin (from the Rada Committee on Organization of State Power, Local Self-Government, Regional Development and Urban Planning) became Minister of Communities, Territories and Internally Displaced Persons; thus, he partially replaced the Vice Prime Minister for Reconstruction - Minister of Community and Territories Development Oleksii Kuleba.
Oleksandr Kravchenko, Managing Partner of the Kyiv office of the international consulting company McKinsey & Company, became Minister of Economy and Environment, replacing Oleksii Sobolev as Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture.
The Head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration, Mykola Kalashnyk, became the Minister of Reconstruction, Infrastructure and Transport, which also provides for the restoration of the Ministry of Infrastructure.
