In Dzhankoi, in the north of the occupied Crimea, a schedule for mobile service has been implemented. Service is now available for eight hours a day due to power supply issues affecting the entire peninsula.

This is according to a statement published today, July 15, on the website of the occupying government of Crimea.

The statement indicates that in Dzhankoi, “stable operation” of mobile communications is provided from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. This implies that residents of the city and surrounding areas have access to mobile service for only eight hours a day.

“Please take this information into account when planning calls, using mobile internet, and addressing matters that require a stable connection,” the statement reads.

The occupiers did not specify the reason for introducing these mobile service schedules.

Dzhankoi is located in the northern Crimea. This part of the peninsula suffers the most from power outages, which began after the Ukrainian Defense Forces intensified their strikes on infrastructure facilities as part of an operation to destroy the logistics of the aggressor country, russia.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on July 12, local Telegram channels shared an appeal from residents of settlements in the northern Crimea. In it, they sound the alarm over the lack of electricity, which, according to them, has been absent for seven consecutive days. People are calling on the occupying administration to provide them with assistance.

As a reminder, it also became known on July 12 that the price of gasoline on the peninsula had jumped to RUB 380 per liter. Back in mid-April, it was selling for just under RUB 80 per liter.
