Ukrainian Armed Forces strike 20 russian vessels in Black Sea overnight, including 17 oil tankers - Madyar
The Ukrainian military struck russian ships in the Black Sea, hitting 20 vessels in a single night.
Robert “Madyar” Brovdi, the commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems Forces, has reported this.
Which russian vessels were struck by the Ukrainian military?
According to Brovdi, the following were targeted:
- 17 oil tankers;
- 2 gas tankers;
- 1 tugboat.
The commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces stated that he would later publish video evidence confirming the results of the attack.
He also noted that this time, the Ukrainian military attacked russian vessels not in the Sea of Azov, but in the Black Sea.
Madyar responded to Lavrov’s statement on “piracy”
Robert Brovdi commented on the remarks by russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, who the day before had called the Ukrainian strikes on russian tankers in the Sea of Azov “pure terrorism, worse than piracy.”
In response, the commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces wrote:
“No piracy, Lavrov—just business. Yours, bloody. In the crosshairs of the Freedom-Loving Ukrainian Bird. Into the depths of the sea.”
At the time of publication, no independent confirmation of the reported results of the strike on 20 russian vessels had been released.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on July 14, the Ukrainian Navy stated that in the Black Sea, near Novorossiysk, the patrol ship "Izumrud," operated by the Federal Security Service (FSB) of the russian federation, was destroyed using the Sargan-3000 system. Later, a satellite image emerged showing the ship in a half-submerged state.
