In May, average salary of Ukrainians increased to almost UAH 31,000 - State Statistics Service

In May 2026, the average salary of Ukrainians increased by 1.5% compared to April to UAH 30,961 per month.

It was announced by the State Statistics Service, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The highest level of remuneration was registered in Kyiv – UAH 47,115 and in the Kyiv Region – UAH 32,374.

The lowest level of remuneration was registered in the Chernivtsi Region – UAH 22,354 and in the Kirovohrad Region – UAH 22,336.

Remuneration by type of economic activity:

- highest - information and telecommunications: UAH 76,997;

- lowest - healthcare and social assistance: UAH 21,554.

The arrears in salary payments as of June 1, 2026 are UAH 3.8 billion.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in April 2026, the average salary of Ukrainians increased by 0.5% compared to March to UAH 30,515 per month.
