Funding for combat units will increase starting in July - Zelenskyy
Funding for combat units will increase starting in July. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this on his Telegram channel, according to the Ukrainian News agency.
Zelenskyy specifically noted that the program for direct funding of combat units is working well and will be expanded.
"Starting next month, funding per battalion carrying out combat missions will increase. Since last year, when this funding began, it has already allowed brigades to accelerate the procurement of drones and other necessary equipment. Now, each combat battalion will receive more funds, and separate funding will also be allocated for artillery units operating in the combat zone, as well as for corps-level units carrying out combat missions," he said.
Zelenskyy noted that the High Command has already made a decision on this matter, and combat units will receive additional resources in July.
The President also reported that the program for the guaranteed monthly allocation of personnel to combat brigades, which has been in effect since December 2025, is proving effective. We have now achieved a stable reinforcement of the brigades, which means greater predictability for commanders in their management and significantly more opportunities for units to independently organize personnel training.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on June 10, the Verkhovna Rada amended the 2026 state budget, specifically increasing spending on security and defense by UAH 1.56 trillion.
