Ukraine has received EUR 3.2 billion from the European Union—the first tranche under the new financial instrument, the Ukraine Support Loan.

It  was reported in a statement from the Ministry of Finance, according to the Ukrainian News agency.

These funds will be used to finance priority expenditures in the state budget, support macrofinancial stability, and ensure the uninterrupted functioning of the state amid a full-scale war.

The Ukraine Support Loan is part of a broader two-year EU support framework for Ukraine for 2026–2027, totaling up to EUR 90 billion. In 2026, up to EUR 45 billion is expected to be made available to Ukraine.

The European Union remains a key partner for Ukraine in ensuring fiscal stability. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the EU has provided Ukraine with over EUR 70 billion in budgetary support.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the EU had previously decided to allocate EUR 90 billion euros to Ukraine over two years.
