Drones operated by the Security Service of Ukraine struck an oil facility in the Yaroslavl Oblast of the russian federation, located more than 700 kilometers from the Ukrainian border. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this in an address, noting that this facility was of strategic importance to the russian federation’s state reserve.

In addition, according to the head of state, the Defense Forces struck targets in the Tula Oblast, hitting the Azot plant, which plays a key role in supplying the russian military-industrial complex with components for the production of explosives. Due to a large-scale drone attack, flight restrictions were imposed at six russian airports, and air raid alerts were declared in 28 regions of russia. Strikes were also recorded on the occupiers’ military logistics facilities in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.

Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine is strictly implementing its plan for long-range sanctions and delivering medium-range strikes in response to the kremlin’s unwillingness to end hostilities.

"We offered the Russian leadership every possible format for negotiations, and the only response was a continuation of the aggression and attempts to expand it. It is logical that the war is returning to where it came from," the President stressed.
