Shehyni - Medyka checkpoint will stop passing buses towards Poland for year and half
From June 15, 2026, large-scale repair work will begin at the Shehyni - Medyka checkpoint on the Ukrainian-Polish border on the bus lane for entering the Republic of Poland.
This was announced by the press center of the State Customs Service, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The repair work will last almost a year and a half - until November 2027. In this regard, during the entire specified period, the registration and passage of buses in the direction of departure from Ukraine to Poland will not be carried out through this checkpoint.
At the same time, the movement of passenger vehicles in the opposite direction - from Poland to Ukraine - will remain unchanged and will operate as usual.
The State Customs Service called on carriers and passengers to take these long-term restrictions into account when planning trips, inform customers about changes in advance, and choose other checkpoints on the Ukrainian-Polish border for departure from Ukraine.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on May 19, the State Border Service launched the "Personal Account" service, where Ukrainians can independently and quickly find out whether they have temporary restrictions on traveling abroad.
