Bad weather and shelling leave Ukrainians without electricity in 8 regions

As a result of russian attacks on the morning of June 8, there are new power outages in the Kharkiv, Sumy, Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Donetsk Regions. It was reported by Ukrenergo.

Emergency repair work has already begun wherever safety conditions permit. 

Consequences of bad weather

Due to adverse weather conditions, 26 settlements in the Kyiv and Chernihiv Regions have been completely or partially left without power. Repair crews from the regional power companies are already working to restore damaged overhead lines.

Consumption

Electricity consumption is in line with seasonal trends.

"It is advisable to shift active electricity consumption today to the period when industrial solar power plants are most productive — from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please limit the use of high-power electrical appliances in the evening hours — from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.," added Ukrenergo.

As a reminder, a storm warning has been issued today in some regions.
