Former MP and head of All-Ukrainian Association Svoboda Oleh Tiahnybok wounded at front - Ivano-Frankivsk Mayor Martsinkiv

Former Member of Parliament, Head of the Svoboda All-Ukrainian Association Oleh Tiahnybok was wounded at the front.

This was announced by Ivano-Frankivsk Mayor Ruslan Martsinkiv on Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"Oleh Tiahnybok was wounded at the front. He and his comrades were in the same car that was hit by an enemy drone. We wish him a speedy recovery!" wrote the city mayor.

Oleh Tiahnybok is a Ukrainian politician, former MP and long-time head of the Svoboda All-Ukrainian Association. After the start of russia's large-scale invasion of Ukraine in late February 2022, he voluntarily joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the structures of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and later in the 128th Brigade "Dyke Pole", where he held the position of deputy battalion commander. He holds the rank of lieutenant colonel.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau is asking President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the Security Service of Ukraine to initiate sanctions against former Verkhovna Rada member Yurii Ivaniushchenko. During the investigation, detectives discovered the ex-MP's stable financial ties with the aggressor state.
