Armed Forces of Ukraine announce control over russian logistics in occupied Luhansk Region
The 3rd Army Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that one of its unmanned aerial vehicle units has established control over the logistics of the aggressor country’s army in the occupied part of the Luhansk Region.
The 3rd Army Corps announced this on its official Telegram channel on Sunday, May 31.
The Corps stated that servicemen from the Corps’ unmanned systems battalion had struck russian logistics in the occupied Luhansk Region, specifically in the area of the “Izvaryne” checkpoint. It is located on the state border with russia. It lies more than 205 kilometers deep into the occupied territory from the front line.
"In response to the enemy’s claims of having fully captured the Luhansk Region, we are announcing an operation to control logistics routes in the Luhansk Region and Eastern Slobozhanshchyna. Luhansk, Starobilsk, Alchevsk, Brianka, and Kadiivka are now under the control of the 3rd Army Corps’ UAVs,” said Corps Commander Andrii Biletskyi.
According to him, the successful operation was planned and led by the commander of the strike UAV platoon with the call sign "East." He is a native of the Luhansk Region.
The Corps published a video showing Ukrainian drones targeting the occupiers’ equipment.
As the Ukrainian News agency previously reported, earlier this week, russian media outlets complained en masse about drone strikes on cargo transport and military equipment in the occupied territories. According to them, this situation threatens the logistics of two russian army groups.
