President holds special meeting with Budanov, Umerov and Shmyhal - Head of State reveals details

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a special meeting with the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov; Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Rustem Umerov; and Minister of Energy, Denys Shmyhal.

The Head of State has reported this on his official Telegram page on May 30, 2026.

According to him, three topics were discussed at this meeting.

"First: diplomacy. I am in contact almost daily with representatives of the President of the United States and European partners. We reviewed the current status of air defense deliveries and our agreements in general. We set priorities for the next few weeks: anti-ballistics, bilateral agreements on the production and supply of drones—specifically the Drone Deal with the European Union—and preparations for meetings in various formats. We are preparing for important negotiations—no public details at this time,” the Ukrainian President said.

Second, he said, is the issue of prisoner exchanges with russia.

"We must continue the humanitarian track, those exchanges that have already been agreed upon. I have instructed officials to contact partners who can now facilitate the necessary mediation," Zelenskyy noted.

And the third issue is energy.

"Third: there will be new decisions in support of Ukraine, particularly our energy sector. We are finalizing the details," the President of Ukraine said.
