In Sumy Region, people tried to take out fragments of UAVs. They exploded, there are killed
In the Sumy Region, people discovered fragments of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). An explosion occurred while they were being transported, killing two men.
Oleh Hryhorov, the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, reported this today, May 17.
According to him, the incident occurred in the Putyvl community. This morning, the men found parts of the drone and loaded them into a car. Among the UAV fragments were explosive devices.
"One of the explosive elements detonated. Unfortunately, the explosion killed two men, aged 45 and 47," Grigorov wrote on his Telegram channel.
He urged citizens not to approach or touch drone fragments or any other unknown objects. If such items are found, they should be reported to the National Police or the State Emergency Service (SESU).
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on May 6, in the Velyka Pysarivka community of the Sumy Region, a 69-year-old man was killed by a mine dropped by russian occupiers from a drone. The man died at the scene.
As a reminder, in April it became known that the occupiers used drones to scatter propaganda leaflets over settlements in the Sumy Region.
