Real estate tax revenues increase by almost 15% to UAH 4.9 billion in 4 months
In the first four months of 2026, local budgets received UAH 4.9 billion in property tax (excluding land), which is 14.5% more than during the same period last year.
This is stated in a report by the Tax Service, the Ukrainian News agency informs.
Traditionally, the largest contribution to budget revenues came from property owners in major cities and industrial regions:
- Kyiv – UAH 1.05 billion;
- Kyiv Region – UAH 547.3 million;
- Dnipropetrovsk Region – UAH 490.0 million;
- Lviv Region – UAH 487.0 million.
The tax on real estate other than land plots is levied only on the area exceeding the established exemption thresholds:
- for apartments – over 60 m²;
- for residential houses – over 120 m²;
- for various types of owned housing – over 180 m².
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the tax rate is determined by local authorities, but it cannot exceed 1.5% of the minimum wage for each “excess” square meter.
