Demand for cars with diesel engines decreases by 12% in April - UkrAutoprom
In April 2026, compared to the same period in 2025, demand for diesel-powered cars fell by 12% to 5,000 units.
This is stated in a report by the UkrAutoprom association, according to the Ukrainian News agency.
Of these: 1,200 new units (+2%) and 3,800 used units imported from abroad (-16%).
The top 5 models of new diesel passenger cars included: Renault Duster – 404 units; Volkswagen Touareg – 107 units; Volkswagen Tiguan – 84 units; Skoda Kodiaq – 70 units; and Toyota Land Cruiser Prado – 58 units.
The top 5 imported used diesel cars were: Renault Megane – 303 units; Nissan Qashqai – 279 units; Skoda Octavia – 251 units; Volkswagen Passat – 203 units; and Hyundai Santa Fe – 159 units.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in March 2026, compared to the same period in 2025, demand for cars with diesel engines fell by 8% to 5,100 units.
