Syrskyi initiates increase in financial support for military instructors
In Ukraine, they plan to update the system of training military personnel and significantly strengthen the role of the instructor staff. Based on the results of the inspection of the training units of one of the brigades of the airborne assault forces, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi announced steps to increase the motivation of specialists who train fighters.
During the meeting with representatives of the Defense Forces, the issues of replenishing positions and improving the quality of training programs, which are already being adapted to the experience of using drones and modern combat tactics, were discussed.
"A professional instructor is a trained soldier. And a trained soldier is a saved life, a completed combat mission, and a strong state," Oleksandr Syrskyi emphasized.
To improve training standards in the first quarter of 2026, 35 expert groups were involved, and the training of the instructors themselves is currently ongoing both in Ukraine and abroad. One of the key stages of the reform should be a review of the financial component. The military leadership plans to initiate with the Ministry of Defense the issue of increasing the financial support for instructors in order to secure people with real combat experience in their positions.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi signed an order on the mandatory rotation of servicemen performing tasks on the front line. According to it, the stay on the contact line should not last more than 2 months.
