Trading volume on PFTS increases by 1.3% to UAH 87.1 billion in April
In April 2026, the total trading volume on the PFTS amounted to UAH 87.1 billion (101.3% of the previous month’s level).
This is stated in a report by the exchange, according to the Ukrainian News agency.
In January–April 2026, the total trading volume on the PFTS amounted to UAH 345.8 billion (119% of the level for the same period in 2025) or 71% of the total trading volume of securities trading organizers in Ukraine.
In the trading structure for April, the share of Ukrainian government bonds was 72.9% (UAH 63.5 billion, or 97% of the previous month’s level), currency swaps — 25.9% (UAH 22.6 billion, or 114% of the previous month’s level), corporate bonds of Ukrainian issuers – 0.5% (UAH 0.5 billion, or 132% of the previous month’s level), foreign government bonds – 0.5% (UAH 0.5 billion, or 287% of the previous month’s level), collective investment institutions’ securities – 0.1% (UAH 0.1 billion, or 180% of the previous month’s level), shares of foreign issuers – 0.001% (UAH 1 million, or 44% of the previous month’s level), and shares of Ukrainian issuers — 0.0001% (UAH 0.1 million, or 53% of the previous month’s level).
In April, 4.8% of transactions were concluded on the “bid market,” 80.3% on the “quotation market” (including address transactions), 7.7% in one-sided auctions where initial placements of corporate bonds took place, 3.7% of transactions were concluded in REPO and “risk-controlled” REPO modes, and 3.5% in “risk-controlled” SWAP mode.
In April, 43 trading participants concluded transactions involving 106 issues of securities: government domestic loan bonds – 50, government foreign loan bonds – 8, corporate bonds of Ukrainian issuers – 18, shares of foreign issuers – 14, collective investment institutions’ securities – 7, foreign government bonds – 4, shares of Ukrainian issuers – 3, currency swaps – 2.
In January–April 2026, 45 market participants concluded transactions involving 153 securities issues: government domestic loan bonds – 69, government foreign loan bonds – 8, shares of foreign issuers – 26, corporate bonds of Ukrainian issuers – 25, collective investment institutions’ securities – 9, foreign government bonds – 8, shares of Ukrainian issuers – 5, currency swaps – 2, and municipal bonds – 1.
On June 17, 2024, trading in currency swaps began on the PFTS trading system.
In April 2026, transactions were concluded for “US dollar–Ukrainian hryvnia” (ticker: USDUAH) and “euro–Ukrainian hryvnia” (ticker: EURUAH) currency swaps.
The total trading volume for these swaps amounted to UAH 22.6 billion (25.9% of the total trading volume or 114% of the previous month’s level).
Among the 50 issues of government bonds traded in April, 14 issues had maturity dates in 2026 (UAH 8.8 billion), 21 issues had maturity dates in 2027 (UAH 20 billion), 9 issues had maturity dates in 2028 (UAH 28.3 billion), and 5 issues had maturity dates in 2029 (UAH 3.8 billion).
On July 26, 2022, trading began on the PFTS in Ukrainian domestic government bonds denominated in foreign currency, at par value. In April 2026, the volume of exchange contracts for domestic government bonds executed in the currency of denomination amounted to USD 23.1 million and EUR 39.2 million (3.5% of the total trading volume).
As of May 1, 2026, the number of trading participants on the organized market of JSC “PFTS Stock Exchange” was 54: 29 banks and 25 financial companies.
As of May 1, 2026, 388 issues of financial instruments were admitted to trading on JSC "PFTS Stock Exchange," of which 114 issues of securities were included in the List of Assets of the Regulated Market.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in March 2026, the total trading volume on the PFTS amounted to UAH 86 billion (100.1% of the previous month’s level) or 71% of the total trading volume of securities trading organizers in Ukraine.
In 2025, the total trading volume on the PFTS reached UAH 845 billion, which is 163% of the 2024 level, or 78% of the total trading volume of securities trading organizers in Ukraine.
Since 1997, the PFTS Index has been Ukraine’s official index in the S&P Emerging Markets.
