In 2025, the export of chicken eggs increased by 77% to 137,500 tons compared to 2024.

This is stated in the message of the Grain Trade, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The message states that 73.3% were purchased by EU countries, 12.7% - by other European countries (not part of the EU), 8% - by Middle Eastern countries, 3.2% - by Southeast Asian countries, 2.8% - by other regions. The increase in exports is due to high demand from the EU and geographical proximity to the main buyers.

It is noted that in 2025, egg production in Ukraine decreased by 0.5% compared to the previous year to 11,434 million pieces, which is 13% lower than the average 5-year indicator.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in July 2025, egg exports increased by 86% to 190.6 million pieces worth USD 17 million compared to the same period in 2024.
