Deprive, restrict and block: Zelenskyy imposes sanctions against former head of President's Office
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has imposed sanctions against Andrii Bohdan, the former head of the Office of the President.
This is stated on the website of the President of Ukraine.
By a decree dated May 2, Zelenskyy enacted the National Security and Defense Council’s decision to impose sanctions.
The sanctions list includes five individuals, among whom is Andrii Yosypovych Bohdan, born on December 3, 1976, a citizen of Ukraine. This information matches the details of the former head of the Office of the President.
A statement on the President’s website states that the actions of these individuals “threaten Ukraine’s national interests, security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.”
"Sanctions have been imposed on Ukrainian lawyer Andrii Bohdan, Ukrainian businessman Bohdan Pukish — an associate and partner of sanctioned individual Viktor Medvedchuk, Russian businessman Alan Kiryukhin, a key manager of the sanctioned A7A5 payment system used to circumvent sanctions, and Russian Olympic sports propaganda officials Stanislav Pozdnyakov and Mikhail Mamiashvili," the press service explained.
The restrictive measures, in particular, include: revocation of Ukrainian state awards, asset freezing, suspension of trade operations, prevention of capital outflows from Ukraine, revocation or suspension of licenses and other permits, and a ban on participation in the privatization and lease of state property.
The sanctions are imposed for 10 years, with the exception of the indefinite revocation of Ukrainian state awards.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on May 21, 2019, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed Andrii Bohdan, his legal advisor and a lawyer for oligarch Ihor Kolomoiskyi, as the head of his Administration.
