What will happen to gas price for population from May 1

Gas prices for the population from May 1, 2026 remain unchanged.

This was announced by the GazPravda consultation center for the population, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The report states that gas suppliers for household consumers have updated their annual offers and published price lists for May.

Currently, 8 companies are operating in the gas market for the population.

4 of them offer only annual tariffs and have extended their validity without changes until at least April 30, 2027.

Annual tariffs range from UAH 7.96 to UAH 9.99 per cubic meter.

Another 4 gas suppliers offer both annual and monthly variable prices.

Monthly tariffs decreased in May and range from UAH 8.46 to UAH 29.20 per cubic meter.

It is noted that the basic ones for the population are annual tariffs.

Consumers can switch to monthly, in fact market prices only at their own request. Companies are not allowed to arbitrarily transfer customers from annual to monthly tariffs.

The vast majority of household consumers - about 98%, or more than 12 million households - are customers of the Naftogaz of Ukraine Group.

Its tariff - UAH 7.96 per cubic meter - will be valid at least until April 30, 2027.
