Russia attacks Odesa with drones: lots of destruction, 2 people in intensive care

On the night of April 30, Odesa came under attack by russian drones; the invaders targeted residential neighborhoods and civilian facilities in various parts of the city. Sixteen people were injured, two of whom are currently in intensive care. Serhii Lysak, the head of the Odesa City Military Administration, has reported this. 

"The most damage was recorded in the Prymorskyi District. A high-rise building and a five-story residential building were damaged here: large-scale fires broke out on the upper floors and the roof, which rescuers managed to contain. Private homes and residential buildings in the central part of the city were also damaged," the statement said.

Social and commercial facilities were also hit: a kindergarten building sustained significant damage, and a shopping center, a hotel, and administrative buildings were damaged. Dozens of buses and passenger cars were destroyed or damaged in several parking lots.

In the Khadzhybeiskyi District, strikes were recorded on infrastructure facilities, warehouse buildings, and a garage cooperative.

"Unfortunately, 16 people were injured. Among them was a 17-year-old boy. Two people are currently in intensive care in serious condition; doctors are fighting for their lives. One man has been admitted to the trauma unit. The other victims received necessary assistance on site or were referred for outpatient treatment," Lysak said.

Operational headquarters have been set up on site, where residents of damaged buildings can receive assistance and consultations.

As a reminder, yesterday russia launched a massive shelling of the Odesa Region: a fire broke out in a nature reserve, and a district hospital was damaged.
