The Cabinet of Ministers recorded a record-breaking pace of road surface restoration, which has not been seen in the past six years. To date, more than 5.7 million sq. m of damage on roads of international and state importance have already been eliminated throughout the country to ensure stable logistics. Yulia Svyrydenko stated this.

The government has set deadlines according to which repairs on international roads should be completed by May 1, and on roads of national importance - by June 1. More than 200 teams work at the facilities every day. Special attention is being paid to the 40-kilometer zone near the front line, where units of the State Special Transport Service were involved in the work due to security risks and evacuation needs.

The official noted that roads are now key arteries for the front and business operations.

"Currently, the government is coordinating the efforts of all services to ensure the uninterrupted movement of goods and the operation of businesses that depend on the speed of delivery of goods," Svyrydenko emphasized.

The priority remains the corridors connecting Ukraine with European partners to support exports and military supplies.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on February 18, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko said that work on repairing public roads will begin as soon as weather conditions allow.
