The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has warned about this.

- reservists,

- those who are discharged from service with the right to wear military uniforms.

"Civilians cannot wear real military uniforms. But they can wear similar clothes without signs and symbols. "Military" is a style that only resembles the military. You can do something similar, but you can't copy it," the Defense Ministry emphasizes.

It is forbidden to use statutory camouflage with chevrons and insignia of the Armed Forces of Ukraine or other military. For wearing uniforms with chevrons and without the right to do so:

"The right to wear the military uniform of the Armed Forces of Ukraine can be obtained only in one way - by joining the Ukrainian army," the ministry reminds.

During the large-scale war, camouflage clothing has become widespread not only among the military, but also in the everyday style of civilian Ukrainians. At the same time, in order to avoid breaking the law and getting fined, it is important to understand the difference between official military uniforms and stylized "military" clothing.

Military uniforms include clothing made according to approved camouflage patterns - including MM-14 (Ukrainian pixel), MM-16F (blue-gray version for the Navy) and other types of camouflage patterns designed to perform combat or special tasks.

In contrast, "military"-style is clothing that only visually resembles military. It can be similar in color, but should not reproduce the statutory camouflage, state symbols or insignia of the Armed Forces of Ukraine or other military formations.

"Thus, if it is an ordinary civilian replica without any official military symbols and insignia, such clothing can be worn by civilians," the Ministry of Defense summarized.
