Kyiv night attack destroys houses in 4 districts, kills 5 people - SESU

On the night of April 16, russia massively attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles and drones, killing five people, including a 12-year-old child. It was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU).

Another 21 people were injured. Most of the victims were recorded in the Obolonskyi and Podilskyi Districts. In particular, in the Obolonskyi District, four medics and two policemen who arrived to help were injured by a second strike.

In the Podilskyi District, two killed people were found under the rubble of the building facades, and in another location in the district, rescuers managed to free a woman and a child from the rubble of a destroyed house. The destruction of residential buildings, hotels and shops was also reported in the Desnianskyi and Shevchenkivskyi Districts, where debris fell on a playground.

The rescue operation is currently underway, with experts continuing to dismantle the rubble.
