Russians launched over 140 drones overnight, attacked energy infrastructure in 5 regions - Zelenskyy

On the night of Monday, April 6, russian occupiers attacked residential and energy infrastructure in Odesa with strike drones, the enemy also struck energy facilities in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk Regions, in total, the occupiers sent over 140 strike drones to Ukraine that night.

This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"At night, the russians attacked Odesa with strike drones. They damaged residential buildings and a kindergarten, a district electrical substation. Thousands of families were left without electricity. Repair crews have been working since night to restore electricity supply," he wrote.

The President noted that three people were known to have been killed in Odesa, in particular, the occupiers killed a two-year-old child.

There is also information about 16 wounded.

Among the injured is a pregnant woman and two children, the youngest is not even a year old.

Two people were also wounded in the Kharkiv Region.

"There were strikes on the energy sector in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk Regions. I thank our services, which are helping on the ground," the head of state added.

In general, according to the President, during the night the russians attacked Ukraine with more than 140 strike drones, and in some regions the strikes continue.

And over the past week, the enemy has used more than 2,800 strike drones, almost 1,350 guided bombs and more than 40 missiles of various types against Ukraine.

"Now all partners need to strengthen the protection of the sky together so that the percentage of drone and missile downings becomes higher every time. This is the daily work of everyone, not just Ukraine, because by supplying and supporting us, by working together, partners help themselves. Russia is not going to stop. I thank everyone who understands this and invests in our joint defense," Zelenskyy summed up.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of Monday, April 6, russian occupiers attacked energy facilities in the Chernihiv, Nizhyn and Novhorod-Siverskyi districts, as a result of which more than 400,000 consumers were left without electricity.
