Train from Kyiv to Bulgaria planned to be launched in summer - Kuleba
Ukraine is working on launching an international railway route to Varna (Bulgaria). This was reported by the Minister of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine Oleksii Kuleba in the Telegram channel.
"According to the results of our negotiations with partners, we already have preliminary agreements on the route and schedule - taking into account maximum convenience for Ukrainian passengers," the message says.
Route: Kyiv - Lviv - Chernivtsi - Suceava - Bucharest - Varna. According to him, this connection is planned to be launched in early June.
Estimated travel time - up to 30 hours. The final time will be determined after the test flight.
"An important issue is the price. The Romanian and Bulgarian sides have previously agreed on the possibility of including the route in the PSO (state order) mechanism, which allows reducing the cost of tickets. Negotiations are ongoing. The next step is to finalize the tariff decision and launch the test train together with partners," he added.
Recall that in December, Ukrzaliznytsia launched new international connections.
