Ukraine will be covered by Arctic cold: forecasters warn of snow and "minuses" in April

The next week in Ukraine will bring a noticeable deterioration in the weather - after a relatively warm start to April, the country will be covered by a cold wave.

According to the forecast of forecaster Ihor Kibalchych, from April 7 the temperature will drop sharply, and night indicators will drop to minus values ​​in places. The reason will be the invasion of Arctic air and the activation of cyclones from northwestern Europe.

Rains are expected throughout the week, and in some places - wet snow, especially in the northern and western regions. The weather will be complicated by a strong northwestern wind and low atmospheric pressure.

On Monday, April 6, it will rain in Ukraine, thunderstorms are possible in places. The wind will change direction to the northwestern and strengthen to gusts. At night, +4…+10 degrees are expected, during the day in the western and northern regions +10…+15 degrees, in the rest of the territory up to +22 degrees.

On Tuesday, April 7, a cold snap will cover the entire country. It will rain in different regions, and the wind will remain gusty. The temperature at night will drop to +1…+6 degrees, during the day it will be +7…+12 degrees, in the south up to +14 degrees.

On Wednesday, April 8, the weather will become even colder. Rain is expected, with wet snow in places, especially in the north and west. At night, the first frosts to -1 degrees are possible, during the day the temperature will rise only to +3…+8 degrees.

On Thursday, April 9, cold and wet weather will persist. In many regions, it will rain, with wet snow in places, sleet and ice are possible. At night -2…+3 degrees, during the day +2…+7 degrees, in the Carpathians close to zero.

On Friday, April 10, no significant precipitation is expected, light snow or rain is possible only in places. The temperature at night will drop to -3…+2 degrees, during the day it will be +3…+8 degrees, a little warmer in the south.

On Saturday, April 11, in some regions small precipitation in the form of wet snow and rain is possible again. At night -3…+2 degrees, during the day +4…+9 degrees, in the south up to +12 degrees.

On Sunday, April 12, no significant precipitation is predicted, there will be rain only in places. The temperature at night will fluctuate within -2…+3 degrees, during the day +5…+10 degrees, in the southern regions up to +12 degrees.

In general, cold weather with night frosts will prevail in Ukraine during the week, and temperatures will correspond more to mid-March than to April.
