Trump claims 'regime change' in Iran during war - CNN
US President Donald Trump said that a "regime change" has already taken place during the war in Iran, as he said on March 29 on board Air Force One.
It was reported by CNN.
Trump made the statement while speaking to reporters on Sunday.
"If you look at the situation, the regime change has already taken place, because one regime was defeated, destroyed, they are all dead. The next regime is almost dead, and the third regime is completely different people with whom no one has ever dealt before. This is a completely different group of people. So I consider this a regime change, and frankly, they are behaving very sensibly," Trump said.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on March 25, Iranian TV channel Press TV wrote, citing its own sources, that Iran rejected the US proposal to end the war. The day before, a number of media outlets reported that Washington had offered Tehran a 15-point settlement agreement.
And on March 24, The New York Times reported that the de facto leader of Saudi Arabia, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, convinced US President Donald Trump to continue the war against Iran.
