In March, interceptor drones destroyed 55% more targets compared to February. The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi announced this on Facebook, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"In March, the number of combat sorties of interceptor drones and the number of targets destroyed increased by almost 55% compared to February. Since the beginning of spring, our interceptor UAVs have already destroyed more than 2,300 enemy air targets," he said.

According to the Commander-in-Chief, Ukrainian-made drones demonstrate the highest efficiency and Ukraine is ready to share this experience with international partners.

Syrskyi also said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are drawing conclusions from the latest massive attacks by enemy Shaheds.

"The enemy is changing tactics - we are adapting our actions accordingly and developing new effective ways to counteract the UAV strikes. We are increasing the number of crews of interceptor drones, strengthening the training of servicemen," he said.

In addition, Syrskyi spoke about organizational changes. In particular, he said that in March, the Command of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Air Defense was reorganized into the Command of Direct Air Cover Forces.

"The Command operates within the Air Forces of Ukraine and is responsible for the development and application of "small air defense", modernization of equipment and training of personnel. Today, this structure is acquiring operational capabilities and receiving certain forces and means," he said.

According to Syryskyi, the Ukrainian Armed Forces need to further increase the number of interceptor UAVs, in particular those with automatic guidance systems.

He also said that since the beginning of March, Ukrainian helicopters have destroyed 379 enemy attack drones, and anti-aircraft missile troops, mobile fire groups and separate anti-aircraft machine gun battalions are also effectively working on targets.

Syrskyi also noted that the Armed Forces pay special attention to the introduction of artificial intelligence and increasing the level of automation in the use of air defense systems - both for interceptor drones and for air and ground firepower.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on March 19, Syrskyi said that with the improvement of weather conditions, russians activated at the front.
