"This involves over 1,000 US paratroopers who are to strengthen the US military presence in the region," the report states.

Sources claim that the relevant orders have already been signed, and the Pentagon is currently working out the details - from preparing documents to the logistics of transferring units.

At the same time, information about the possible sending of a full-fledged brigade of over 3,000 soldiers has not yet been confirmed. Currently, we are talking about a smaller contingent - up to 1,500 people, including headquarters elements and separate ground units.

"Previous reports of sending a full-fledged brigade have not yet been confirmed," the sources specify.

It is expected that the transfer of military personnel may begin in the coming days. This decision was made against the backdrop of increased tension around Iran and the general deterioration of the security situation in the Middle East.
