Explosion in Chernihiv ATB occurred during repulsion of attack on city - National Police

According to preliminary information, the explosion in the ATB supermarket in Chernihiv occurred during the repulsion of the attack of the aggressor country russia on the city. It was reported by the press service of the National Police of Ukraine on Sunday, March 22.

The police noted that the investigative team, patrol police units, explosives experts and forensic specialists continue to work at the site of the explosion in Chernihiv.

"It has been preliminarily established that the explosion in the supermarket occurred during the repulsion of an enemy attack on Chernihiv. Investigative actions are currently underway," the National Police said.

The head of the Chernihiv's city military administration, Dmytro Bryzhynskyi, added that a man and two women were hospitalized as a result of the explosion. The man was treated on an outpatient basis, his condition is light. Two women were hospitalized in the trauma department with gunshot shrapnel wounds of the lower extremities. They are in moderate condition.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on March 22, an unknown object exploded in an ATB store on Liotna Street in Chernihiv, injuring four people.
