SSU exposes double agent of RF and Belarus, who spied in Unmanned Systems Forces

The military counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) detained an agent who simultaneously worked for the FSB of the aggressor country of the russian federation and the intelligence of the border service of the Republic of Belarus. The intruder turned out to be a serviceman from the unit of the Unmanned Systems Forces (USF). This is stated in the SSU report.

Thus, while holding the position of a UAV operator, the enemy agent "leaked" data on the directions of movement, types and number of drones of the Defense Forces, which are involved in battles in the northeastern border region.

Then, on the instructions of enemy special services, the agent transfers to the position of operator of ground robotic complexes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which evacuate the wounded and deliver ammunition in the Izium Axis. However, instead of performing official tasks on the front line, he began to collect data on the deployment and plans of combat operations of adjacent units of the Ukrainian troops. At the same time, he accumulated information for the enemy about the tactical and technical characteristics and features of the use of the latest robotic complexes of the Defense Forces.

After completing the agent's tasks, the intruder hoped to escape to the russian federation across the front line, where he was to be met by russian special services.

"The SSU military counterintelligence worked ahead of time and documented the agent's subversive activities. After carrying out measures to secure the locations of Ukrainian soldiers, the enemy "mole" was detained at his place of stay in the Kharkiv Region. During searches, two smartphones with evidence of his work for the Russian and Belarussian special services were seized from the detainee," the special service said.

Security Service investigators served him with suspicion under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law).

The perpetrator is being held without bail. He faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the SSU detained an enemy agent who was preparing a terrorist attack in the center of Dnipro.
