The Armed Forces of Ukraine have struck the Aviastar aircraft manufacturing plant in the Ulyanovsk Oblast and an aircraft repair plant in the Novgorod Oblast of the aggressor country, russia. It was reported by the General Staff.

According to the General Staff, the infrastructure of the aircraft manufacturing plant was hit on March 16.

The company produces Il-76MD-90A military transport aircraft, Il-78M-90A refueling aircraft, and maintains An-124 Ruslan heavy transport aircraft.

Preliminarily, the climate shelter and aircraft parking areas were affected. Some of the aircraft on the territory of the enterprise sustained damage of varying degrees. The extent of the damage is still being determined.

On March 17, Ukrainian Defense Forces units hit the facilities of the 123rd Aircraft Repair Plant in Stara Russa.
