Electric cars no longer in trend, demand falls by 76% in February - UkrAutoprom

In February 2026, 1,074 units of battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) were added to the Ukrainian fleet, which is 76% less than in February 2025 and 63% less than in January 2026.

This is said in a statement by the UkrAutoprom association, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

The bulk of the electric vehicles registered during the month were passenger cars - 1,013 units (144 new units and 869 used units).

Out of 61 commercial electric vehicles, only 10 were new.

The TOP 5 new electric vehicles of the month are: BYD Sea Lion 06 - 16 units; Zeekr 001 - 13 units; BYD Leopard 3 - 13 units; Zeekr 7X - 11 units; Honda eNP2 - 10 units and Volkswagen id.unyx - 8 units.

Top 5 used electric vehicles registered in Ukraine for the first time: Tesla Model Y - 124 units; Tesla Model 3 - 117 units; Nissan Leaf - 114 units; Chevrolet Bolt - 59 units and Tesla Model S - 45 units.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in January 2026, 2,873 units of battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) were added to the Ukrainian fleet, which is 21% less than in January 2025.

In 2025, sales of electric vehicles doubled to 110,200 units of zero-emission vehicles (BEVs) compared to 2024.
