New power outages in 3 regions due to russian attacks - Ukrenergo
As of the morning of March 9, as a result of russian strikes on energy infrastructure and hostilities in frontline regions, there are new power outages in the Kharkiv, Sumy and Chernihiv Regions.
The Ukrenergo National Power Company has announced this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"Due to hostile attacks on energy infrastructure and as a result of hostilities in frontline regions, consumers in the Kharkiv, Sumy and Chernihiv Regions have lost power as of this morning. Where security conditions allow, emergency restoration work is already underway," the message says.
It is also reported that electricity consumption is showing a downward trend.
Thus, on Monday, March 9, as of 9:30 a.m., its level was 4.5% lower than at this time of the previous working day - on Friday, March 6.
The reason for the changes is clear weather throughout Ukraine, which determines the high efficiency of household solar power plants and a corresponding decrease in the level of energy consumption from the general network.
Today, in some regions, hourly power outage schedules are applied for all categories of consumers, as well as power limitation schedules for industry.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on March 5, due to russian strikes on energy infrastructure, power outages were recorded in the Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv Regions.
