Kyiv community hands over 1300 UAVs to 5th assault brigade - Klitschko

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko handed over 1300 drones of various types from Kyiv residents to the 5th Assault Brigade. He announced this on Telegram.

"I handed over 1300 UAVs of various types to the fighters of the 5th separate assault brigade of Kyiv from the community of the capital. In particular, 1000 FPV drones - 300 of them are interceptor drones. As well as 300 Mavic quadcopters," said Vitali Klitschko.

He also noted that since the beginning of this year, the city has allocated UAH 100 million from the city budget to equip the 5th separate assault brigade of Kyiv.

"Let me remind you that in February, the capital handed over 50 portable charging stations to the fighters of this brigade, which were purchased by Ukrainian patrons," the mayor said.

Klitschko also assured that Kyiv will continue to support all defenders - both at the expense of the budget and by attracting non-budgetary funds.

As reported earlier, on Klitschko's initiative, the Kyiv City Council increased funding for the defense and security forces by UAH 3 billion. These funds will be used to purchase UAVs, electronic warfare systems, vehicles and other equipment for military units.

As you know, in 2025, the capital transferred 70,000 drones to the front, as well as 350 electronic warfare systems, vehicles, communications equipment, etc.
