Ukraine receives first tranche from IMF under new program

Ukraine received the first tranche from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) under the new program.

This was announced on Telegram by MP Yaroslav Zhelezniak (Holos), Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The amount of the tranche is about USD 1.5 billion.

For the entire 2026, Ukraine should receive USD 3.83 billion in 4 reviews.

That is, there are 3 more reviews left this year:

- the next one on June 1, 2026 – USD 685.5 million;

- September 1, 2026 – USD 685.9 million;

- December 1, 2026 – USD 960.4 million.

Then 2 reviews per year.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, at the end of February, the Board of Directors of the International Monetary Fund approved a new four-year Extended Fund Facility (EFF) for Ukraine for USD 8.1 billion.
