Drones hit Novorossiysk: explosions near port and fire at oil terminal
On the night of March 2, Novorossiysk was attacked by unknown drones. After a series of explosions in the seaport area, a fire broke out.
This is reported by russian Telegram channels.
The first reports of the explosions appeared at around 10:50 pm Kyiv time. Local residents wrote about "harsh noises", and the mayor of Novorossiysk Andrey Kravchenko announced the closure of traffic in the area of the embankment.
According to russian publics, the city was attacked not only by aerial drones, but also by naval drones. Almost immediately after the first explosions, a video of the fire was published on social networks.
Later, clarifications appeared that a port facility was probably hit - an oil terminal caught fire. There are currently no official comments from local authorities regarding the causes of the fire and possible consequences.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of February 11, Ukrainian military attacked an oil refinery in Volgograd, russia, owned by Lukoil.
