Drones hit Novorossiysk: explosions near port and fire at oil terminal

On the night of March 2, Novorossiysk was attacked by unknown drones. After a series of explosions in the seaport area, a fire broke out.

The first reports of the explosions appeared at around 10:50 pm Kyiv time. Local residents wrote about "harsh noises", and the mayor of Novorossiysk Andrey Kravchenko announced the closure of traffic in the area of ​​the embankment.

According to russian publics, the city was attacked not only by aerial drones, but also by naval drones. Almost immediately after the first explosions, a video of the fire was published on social networks.

Later, clarifications appeared that a port facility was probably hit - an oil terminal caught fire. There are currently no official comments from local authorities regarding the causes of the fire and possible consequences.
