US President Donald Trump confirmed on Truth Social the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei as a result of joint strikes by the United States and Israel. The operation was conducted with the help of American intelligence and high-tech surveillance systems. This was confirmed by US President Donald Trump on Truth Social.

Trump called this event a historic moment:

"Khamenei, one of the most evil people in history, is dead. This is not only justice for the people of Iran, but also for all the great Americans and people from many countries around the world who were killed or maimed by Khamenei and his gang of bloodthirsty thugs."

The president made clear that he was not happy about the decision.

The president also sent a clear message to Iranian security forces and the IRGC:

"As I said last night: 'Now they can get immunity, later they will only get death!' I hope that the IRGC and the police will peacefully unite with Iranian patriots and work together as one to restore the country to the greatness it deserves."

As a result of a series of missile strikes on Saturday, February 28, not only Ayatollah Khamenei was killed, but also part of his family (daughter, son-in-law, grandson and daughter-in-law), as well as a number of officials, Fars News Agency reported on X.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, US President Donald Trump made an official statement in which he confirmed the start of a large-scale military operation against Iran.
