The International Monetary Fund will consider approving a new program for Ukraine.

Yaroslav Zhelezniak, a member of parliament from the Holos faction, announced this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"Today, on February 26, the IMF Board will meet to approve a USD 8.1 billion program for Ukraine. Immediately after that, there will be a tranche of USD 1.5 billion," he said.

He added that a memorandum will be published where you can see all the same tax requirements that have become beacons (most of them by the end of March 2026)

It's worth noting that the IMF website does not yet have a message about the consideration of the Ukrainian issue.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in late November, Ukraine and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) reached a staff-level agreement on a new four-year agreement under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) worth USD 8.1 billion.

One of the conditions for the new program was to introduce VAT for individual entrepreneurs.
