On the night of February 26, russia attacked the gas infrastructure in the Poltava Region, power substations in the Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk Regions, and there are damages in eight regions. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this on his Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"Tonight Russia again fought against critical infrastructure and ordinary residential buildings... They also hit gas infrastructure in the Poltava Region, power substations in the Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk Regions," he said.

Zelenskyy said that the russian federation launched 420 drones, most of them Shaheds, and 39 missiles of various types, including 11 ballistic missiles, there is destruction in eight regions: many private and multi-storey buildings were damaged, dozens of people were wounded as a result of this attack, including children. Rescuers were working in the Chernihiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Kirovohrad, Vinnytsia, and Kyiv Regions, and the capital.

Zelenskyy said that most of the missiles fired today were shot down due to the fact that partners promptly sent some missiles to air defense systems, which had been agreed upon during the last Ramstein, but there were also hits.

"The cold has not fully receded, and air defense missiles are needed every day while Russia is trying to break our energy system," he said.

According to the Air Forces, on the night of February 26 (from 6 p.m. on February 25), the enemy attacked with 2 Zircon anti-ship missiles from the TOT of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, 11 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles from Bryansk and Rostov Oblast of the russian federation, 24 Kh-101 cruise missiles (launch area - Vologda Oblast), 2 Kh-69 guided missiles, as well as 420 Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other types of attack UAVs.

According to preliminary data, as of 10 a.m., the air defense shot down/suppressed 2 Zircon anti-ship missiles, 4 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles, 24 Kh-101 cruise missiles, 2 Kh-69 guided missiles and 374 enemy UAVs.

Hits by 5 ballistic missiles and 46 attack UAVs at 32 locations were recorded, as well as the fall of downed air attack means (wreckage) at 15 locations.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in three districts of Kyiv, debris was recorded falling as a result of the russian attack on the night of February 26.
