In Turkey, F-16 fighter jet crashed on highway: pilot killed

In Turkey, on the night of February 25, an F-16 fighter jet crashed on a highway, the pilot was killed. This was reported by the country's Ministry of Defense.

It is noted that the plane took off from the 9th main air base in Balıkesir for a scheduled training flight. It disappeared from radar at 00:56 local time. In addition, contact with the pilot was also lost. During the search and rescue operation, the wreckage of the plane was found on the Izmir-Istanbul highway. The pilot himself was killed.

Currently, the air accident investigation commission is investigating the causes of the incident.
